Reciprocity

One Credential, Multiple Jurisdictions

At the Living Vines Certification Board (LVCB), we are committed to ensuring that certified addiction and mental health professionals have access to globally recognized pathways for professional mobility.

Through our affiliation with the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC), LVCB credentials are eligible for reciprocity with other IC&RC Member Boards worldwide, subject to jurisdictional requirements.

Reciprocity allows professionals who hold an IC&RC-recognized credential to transfer that credential to another jurisdiction, provided equivalent credentials exist.

Reciprocity into Nigeria

Professionals certified by an IC&RC Member Board who relocate to Nigeria may transfer their credential to the Living Vines Certification Board (LVCB) through the IC&RC reciprocity process.

No additional requirements

Professionals using this pathway are not required to complete additional certification requirements, except for formally joining LVCB.

How to Begin the Reciprocity Process:

  1. Contact your current IC&RC Member Board and request an Application for Reciprocity.
  2. Complete the application and submit verified documentation
  3. LVCB will issue the equivalent IC&RC-recognized credential

Important Information

Same Expiration Date: The issued credential will carry the same expiration date as the original credential.

Renewal Requirements: Upon expiration, you will be required to renew your credential with LVCB in accordance with LVCB’s current renewal policies, continuing education requirements, and administrative procedures.

IC&RC Transfer Fee: There is a $150 fee that IC&RC charges to transfer each credential.

Reciprocity OUT of Nigeria

Professionals certified as a CADC, CCS, CPS or CPRS by the Living Vines Certification Board (LVCB) who relocate to another state, country, or jurisdiction may transfer their credential through the IC&RC reciprocity process, provided the receiving jurisdiction is an IC&RC Member Board.

Important information

Reciprocity to non-IC&RC Member Boards is not permitted.

Additional Requirements May Apply

Additional requirements may apply depending on the laws, regulations, or professional practice standards governing substance use and behavioral health services in the new jurisdiction. Certified professionals are strongly encouraged to contact the IC&RC Member Board in the destination jurisdiction to confirm eligibility and identify any additional requirements before initiating the process.
